NWCFL Premier Division: Squires Gate FC 3 - Silsden 2

Squires Gate picked up only their 2nd win of the season with a hard fought victory over West Yorkshire rivals Silsden.  Having taken a 2 goal lead early in the first half, Gate were pegged back top 2-2 and Silsden looked favourites to score again.

It took a goal-line scramble - in which the linesman adjudged the ball to have crossed the goal line - to decide the result.

Elsewhere in the NWCFL Premier Division, AFC Blackpool won 2-0 away at Winsford.

Squires Gate are 20th in NWCFL Premier Division with 8 points from their games so far while AFC Blackpool are 18th with 10 points from 11 games, although AFC have only been able to play two league fixtures at home so far this season due to refurbishment works on their clubhouse.

AFC Blackpool are at home to Wigan Robin Park on Tuesday 17th September

Both teams are away next Saturday 21st September in the 2nd Qualifying Round Of The FA Vase- AFC Blackpool are away at Winterton Rangers in North Lincolnshire and Squires Gate are away at Runcorn Linnets.
